Channel 1 CC control works and pitch bend works. The plugins seem to follow the rules locking them to a controller/channel, but no channel 1 input did not set input port to 20 in the wrapper options. Not all single channel, 3rd party plugins do this. if they are set to input port 20, they accept input from channel 1, but then locking them to a controller/channel doesn't do anything, and if there are 2 plugins, they play on both keyboards. generally if they are not set to input port 20, they can be locked to a controller/channel (see lockPlugin), but they won't accept input from the control channel 1 Other single channel plugins don't seem to play nice all the time: The built-in plugin instruments also seem to behave when they are locked to a specific controller and channel in the Channel Rack options. When I use a Hammond plugin or another plugin that is multi timbral, there are no MIDI issues, as the plugins control MIDI input internally (too bad that wasn't part of the VST spec.eh). When I'm not using it with a Hammond plugin, I use it to control 2 plugins. It is assigned to port 20 in the program MIDI settings. Channel 3 = note information for the lower keyboard.įL Studio sees this as one controller, even though it has two keyboards. Channel 2 = note information for the upper keyboard. Channel 1 = control input CC messages, program changes, etc). It has two manual keyboards and I have it setup to transmit on 3 channels. I'll give you an idea of the setup, what I've done, and perhaps I can find out where I'm going wrong.
